Site Update
As you have probably noticed, the site has changed a wee bit. I have changed the theme, and a little bit of the layout to make things feel fresher. I also re-did the Downloads page, and more things are to come to it.
Also, a small minor update to the Contact Page, under Other at the bottom something I brought back from a much older version of my site, the Request a Video/Tutorial button, and a Report an Issue link. They open up your email client so you can send me a request for a video you want or a tutorial, or report an issue you are having with the website.
This is only a few of the planned updates i have for the next larger update to the site, which will be soon.
*Also the "Live" page will be deleted in the next update*

Access Windows Files from Ubuntu Dual-Boot
Alright, this is for the people who have a dual-boot with their Windows and Ubuntu machine, commonly done through the program called Wubi.
Once you install and get going in Ubuntu, a lot of us come to wonder, how do i get to my Windows files? Thier on the same hard disc (most of the time, unless you choose to install it on another disc upon installation) so you should be able to access those files, right? Yes indeed. Its very easy in fact.
1. In Ubuntu, click on Places from the Upper right hand drop down menu. Then choose Computer.
2. Now once your in Computer, click on the icon that says 'Filesystem' it is equivalent to clicking on your Local Disk (or whatever you have named your main hard drive) on the Windows Operating System.
3. Now that your in your Filesystem find the folder that says 'host'. This is your Windows hard disk files.
4. Now you are in your Windows files! Cliking on 'host' in Ubuntu dual-boot is similar to clicking on your hard drive icon when you are in (My) Computer in Windows.
5. If you wish to get to something like your music, you will have to look for your user file, then click on your name.
So, under 'host' click:
Users>[Your User Name]>Music (Note, if you are using Windows XP, you will have to go: Users>[Your User Name]>My Documents>My Music

Get Any Video Files on iTunes
Alright, so I know some of you have that problem out their were you want to add a video to iTunes so you can watch it on your iPod/iPhone/iPad, and when you do File>Add file to library... then choose your video and nothing shows up. (Or if it does, and it wont go on your iPod) The reason this is, is because the file you are adding is not a .MP4 format. Video files need to be in an .mp4 format to play on iPods. So how do you get that video in a .mp4 format? Easy, you just need one piece of software, and thats it!
1. First, you need to go and download the program Any Video Converter. It works great and picks up almost every type of video format you input it to convert.

2. Once installed start the program, now first I suggest to set your output folder. What the output folder is, is where the program saves your finished video that you chose to convert. I noramally set it to the Desktop to easily find it and move it later, or set it as Videos folder under the Users home. To change your output folder go to File>Set Output folder...
3. Now, you can choose the video file (not currently in the .MP4 format to convert. To do so, just click the big old ADD VIDEO button in the upper left hand side of the application. Now browse for it, and select it. For this demo, im going to use a video i have in the .AVI format.
4. Next, you need to set what file format you want your video to be. And if you want it for your iPod/iPhone/iPad (and even PSPs) you need .MP4 From the file menu in the upper right hand side of the app, where it says Profile: choose Customized MP4 Movie.
5. Now you can click the nice large CONVERT button just to the right of the ADD VIDEO button, and let it convert. The larger/longer the movie the longer it will take to convert the file, but it shouldn't be to bad. Alot of the speed depends on how fast and good your CPU is.
6.Once the converting process is done, your video will be in a MP4 folder of where you set your output folder to. Such as if you set your output folder to your desktop, their will now be a MP4 folder on your desktop which contains your converted video.
7.Then do the old, File>Add File to Library... thing in iTunes, and have a nice Hank Hill styled chuckle and enjoy your video showing up on iTunes and your iPod!

How to get Google Earth for Ubuntu
Do you want to be able to use Google Earth in Ubuntu, but tried to download it but could never figure out how to install it? This guide will show you how!
1. Download Google Earth from Google's website normally
3. Save it to your Desktop. This should be the defult option in Firefox to save downloaed files to your desktop. If you want to change your download location in Firefox, then in Firefox go to: Edit > Preferences And in the main tab under Downloads, you can tell it to Save Files to Desktop.
4. Once it is downloaded, you should see a file on your Desktop that says GoogleEarthLinux.bin
5. Right-click on that icon and choose: Open With Other Application...
6. A window should pop up. On the bottom of that window click: Use a Custom Command. Type "sh" in that box and hit enter.
7. A window will appear with white text on a black background... just wait. Then the Google Earth Installer window will apear.
8. All the default settings should be fine, and just click Install.
9. It will now install. It wont take long. And then you will have Google Earth installed!
10. A new icon will apear on the desktop. It will be Google Earth. It will ask if you want to approve it or something like that. And then you can use Google Earth.
You can also start Google Earth by clicking: Applications > Internet > Google Earth (which may take a restart to show up...)
