Gwibber, a better Twitter client for Linux
Now I talked about Twitux before on Ubuntu as a Twitter application, but while looking through some friend's tweets, i noticed him using Gwibber. So i had to try it for myself. And It is great!
1. To get Gwibber in Ubuntu, simply go to Applications > Add/Remove...
2. Then search Gwibber, and make sure you have it to show All Avalible Applications
3. Then click Apply Changes, let it download and install.
4. Next you will find Gwibber under: Applications > Internet (as) Gwibber Microblogging Client
5. Then it will probably ask you to add accounts. Choose Add and click Twitter (or whatever you want) Then put in your Twitter account and password.
6. You will probably want to check mark the boxes that say: Receive Messages and Send Messages
7. You can tweet by typing in the box at the bottom of the app, and hitting Enter when done.
Thier are also different themes for Gwibber, you can change them by clicking (in Gwibber app) Gwibber > Preferences, then at the bottom of the preference menu, you will see the themes option.
INFO: Ubuntu version i am using is 9.04
